Iwas born in Macerata, as my father while my mother comes from a town in the south of Italy. Coming from generations of artists, since I was a child I have been breathing music and dreams in my family home in Rome. Fascinated at once by classical music and curious about a certain type of pop music, I start playing the guitar and write my first musical compositions.
As a musician and singer, I accompany my father Jimmy in his numerous national and international tours and I help him with his artistic projects.
In 1982 from one of my first creative sparks, “Beguine” was written, a lucky song that my father performed at the Sanremo Song Festival with great success.
In the following years my attention is drawn to composing music for films and I obtain the first tangible results: together with Italo 'Lilli' Greco, my creative role model, I compose the soundtracks for films by Lina Wertmüller and other famous directors. In the meantime I continue to be part of the world musical scene with my father and my brother Andrea.
This gives me the opportunity to get in touch with different musical styles and to considerably broaden by knowledge of music.
There follow years of artistic experimentation and
I approach the theatre: I fall in love with the great American and English musicals and I compose original music for many musicals, librettos, plots and scripts, which have not been published yet.
Meanwhile jazz, a certain type of jazz, becomes part of my life and the piano takes the place of the guitar. The music I write, together with my best friend Marco Greco, becomes more complex, sophisticated and beguiling. Also the lyrics are deeper and more powerful.
I start thinking I should take up a new challenge.
I contact some wonderful musicians, friends I have met during my rising through the ranks, and I share with them my new “illusion”. I fall in love with my new idea and decide to meet a wider public. The rest of the story has to be written.
